Mason joined Onyx Law Group as an Associate Lawyer in April 2020. He articled at Quay Law Centre and was called to the Bar in May 2019. Mason primarily practices family law, but also has experience in administrative law matters.

Mason has advised clients on complex aspects of family law including matters involving retroactive support as a result of financial non-disclosure, division of foreign and domestic assets, and a variety of excluded property claims. He has also represented clients in contentious cases involving parenting time, and guardianship. While developing his practice on a foundation of family law litigation, Mason has an interest in building on his experience representing clients in all forms of dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration. Of course, as no two family matters are the same, Mason is committed to tailoring his approach to best meet the needs of his clients, and ensure that they receive the best outcome possible.

Mason was initially drawn to family law after working as a Law Foundation funded Legal Advocate, where he was able to appreciate the far-reaching effects legal issues have on people’s lives.

In his free time, Mason enjoys getting outside at every opportunity, and spending time with family and friends.
